Twilight Eclipse proves once again vampires draw crowds

LOS ANGELES — The latest movie from the Twilight Saga: Eclipse drew an estimated $161 million in its first five days of release from North American theaters.
Box office analysts said the gross was large enough to rank “Eclipse” 3rd on Hollywood’s all time list of Wednesday opening movies just behind Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) and Spider-Man 2 (2004), when adjusted for inflation. Summit Entertainment projected that Eclipse would sell another $20 million on Monday for a 6 day domestic total of around $181 million.
Eclipse was ranked the number 1 picture between Friday and Sunday, easily outdistancing it’s nearest competitor “The Last Airbender”, has sold an additional $100.2 million overseas and it has yet to open in important international markets like Germany, France and Britain.
Richie Fay, Summit’s president for domestic distribution said “We’re particularly thrilled that this third movie broadened and deepened the franchise,”, alluding to exit polls indicating that the audience was 35% male. The turnout for the second film in the series “The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” was only able to pull a 20 percent male audience, and that was higher than the first movie in the series.

I agree, tons of action and if I may say so Edward is so HOT!
Vampires rule!
The only thing I don't like is the glitter like affect the vampires skin gives off in sunlight. Kind of cheesy really, but the other stuff would be awesome.
Immortality, super strength, speed and other stuff. I mean as long as you could be like the good guys and actually control your urges to feed on humans.
